Mala Fatra was originally built for the National Bank to the design by J. B. Stockar who worked as a director of its technical department in Prague. It was a compact two-storey building with a restrained rectangular shape, with only a quarter-circle rounded staircase jutting out. Following the renovation of 1990’s, every room gained its own bathroom and balconies were attached to the facades. Although the building became more habitable, its pure functionalist character has been thus completely lost.
