Nový Smokovec 4, 5 Stanislav Sucharda Spoločnosť Československého červeného kríža 1936 |
The original children's sanatorium of Charlotte Garique Masaryk was owned by the Czechoslovak Red Cross. It represents a set of functionalist structures by Prague functionalist architect Suchard. Among them, the most interesting is the Pavilion A – a two-storey building with two rows of delicate balcony terraces, spacious windows and two-wing layout of the main mass. Subsequent glass enclosure of the upper terrace changed the light and airy character of the original building.
