The first stage of the development on the left bank of Nitra river were Phases I and II of the housing district of Chrenova. By applying a simple set-up of Y-shaped typical houses (both three and thirteen-storey high type), architect M. M. Scheer granted these prefab houses a light and optimistic flair. Thanks to this, the housing development project became one of the most successful post-war residential complexes in Slovakia.
