Near the town of Kremnička arose one of the many of the architect’s designs based on a theme from World War Two. Inside a stone wall stands a pyramidal pylon with three connected crosses. The monument is the culmination of the masterful series of Jurkovič’s works, based on motifs that he used in military cemeteries in Galicia during World War I. In its placement on the edge of the hillside and work with proportions, it exudes a cultivated yet unassuming perfection. In the 1990s, the complex was expanded with a monument to the Jewish victims of the Holocaust by the architect Fatran.
